The Sunnybank Trust supports over 200 adults with learning disabilities across North East Surrey to lead their lives the way they want to, as valued members of their local community.
People with learning disabilities can achieve – all they need is a little more support along the way.
And we are determined to be with our members every step of the way, whenever they need that extra support. Whether it’s help building their confidence through our drama group, practicing social skills at Kites Club, meeting new friends through our Friendship scheme, or an advocate helping combat abuse.
Our services include:
- Advocacy – volunteer advocates support people with learning disabilities to have their voices heard.
- Friendship – volunteer friends socialise with or write letters to people with learning disabilities.
- Kites Club – a weekly social club, to catch up with friends, try new activities and develop skills.
- The Happy Kings and Queens Drama Group – meets weekly to develop an annual inclusive show and have fun!
Sunnybank relies on a network of fantastic volunteers, in a variety of roles, to ensure we can support as many people as need us.
